Electronic Arts silently added Logitech G15 LCD support to BF2142 in its recent v1.10 patch. Displayed when you aren’t in a game are your career points, points until next rank, how long you’ve played, your kill/death ratio, and how many dog tags you’ve taken. You’ll have to check out the pics for the in-game stuff—I’m not typing in the wealth of information displayed
Proof:

Button three under the screen is the one that changes pages.
Yeah, my career points aren’t that high, but I’m in the middle of attempting to graduate and work at the same time.
Thanks to the folks of Gunslinger for not booting me while I marveled about this.
Update: Guntizzle over at StrafeRight saw it before I did and posted pictures, too.

I had a serious problem with this installation of WordPress because I was getting blank pages while using wp-cache2.
The fix is to change ob_end_clean(); to ob_end_flush(); on or around line 220 of wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase2.php.
This simple sed script will do it for you if you can access your WordPress installation at a command line: sed -i 's/ob_end_clean/ob_end_flush/g' wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase2.php. Make sure that you’re in the base directory of your WordPress installation.
I found the fix for this at the WordPress support forums.

I have apparently been tagged by JD to do this, so here goes:
Five things you didn’t know about me:
- I didn’t go to Slippery Rock University because I at least thought I missed the deadline for applications. I don’t regret my decision to go to WC, though
- I owned a computer with Windows ME for three years and never once had a problem. It only blue-screened twice. I had installed Linux and BeOS beside it, too.
- I’ve read more than 60 books from the Star Wars expanded universe, from the Han Solo Trilogy to the third book of New Jedi Order. I read the entire Jedi Academy Trilogy in less than 48 hours. Once I got to college, I stopped reading them ’cause I didn’t have time. I plan to resume after college
- One of my ancestors wrote We Wish You a Merry Christmas. My paternal grandfather says it was his great-grandfather’s brother. I intend to investigate this further eventually.
- (some may know this) I am a descendant of King Robert the Bruce of Scotland, commonly known as the bad guy from Braveheart. The line is direct from my maternal grandmother’s father.

Auto response from Rhettigan: Why does “I’m caught in a REPL!” sound like a perfect excuse to miss something?
Jeremy: ctrl+d doesn’t work!!!
In other news, tomorrow’s Christmas and I’m not done shopping.
En aliaj novaĵoj, morgaŭ estas Kristnasko kaj mi ne finiĝas butikumanto.

In the coming month or so, I’m going to slowly transition from Livejournal to WordPress.
WordPress will allow me to harness full control of the structure of my blog and not just the content and general look like Livejournal does. Don’t get me wrong—Livejournal has served me well. I’ve simply outgrown its constraints and want something more unique and flexible. WordPress fulfills my requirements to the best of my knowledge, so I’ll use it.
WordPress is a little flashier than my past blog engines. I’ve been blogging since June 2001 and regularly since September 2003. I started on Blogger back when it was still owned by Pyra Labs and I was still on dial-up, then started using Microblogger when I got a shell account through my college. I eventually moved to Livejournal for its friends features, as most of my friends used it. Now, though, most either rarely update or have deleted their accounts for professional reasons.
So, my move to WordPress is simply the next step in my ever-evolving, ever-flowing stream of consciousness.
